Callum Farrell
I was born and raised in Tucson, where I was lucky to spend many of my
childhood weekends hiking or clambering around drainages in the mountains. Those weekends sparked a lifetime love for the outdoors, but rock climbing didn't become important to me until much later, when I moved back to Tucson for school. As I worked on my degree, I spent more and more time climbing, and what started as an occasional hobby grew into a fully-realized passion, a passion fundamentally shaped by the Tucson climbing scene.
Tucson climbing and Tucson climbers — indoors at Rocks & Ropes and
outdoors on Mount Lemmon — taught me both how to climb and what it
meant to be a climber. I'm so excited for this opportunity to give back to the
community, to help climbers develop the skills and tactics I learned, and to pass on the lessons that my mentors taught me. I'm eager to help climbers from all backgrounds and skill levels develop a lasting and fulfilling relationship with this sport.
