I was born and raised in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and spent much of my early life outdoors. I earned my bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Entomology from the University of Wisconsin. It was there, during my sophomore year, that I first stepped into a climbing gym—and was immediately hooked. I went on to complete my master's degree in biology at Indiana University where my passion for climbing only grew, taking weekend trips down to Red River Gorge Kentucky whenever I could.

Having only just relocated to Tucson with my partner and our two dogs, I've only begun to explore the incredible climbing the region has to offer. As a coach, my goal is to share the joy that this sport has brought me. I hope to help young climbers discover a lifelong connection to climbing— rooted in growth, adventure, and community.
